The QuakeRecNankai team has begun work in the Fuji Five Lakes region. After a slight delay caused by bad weather associated with Typhoon Phanfone, which passed to the south of the area our team is working in, they're getting on with exploring the study area and inspecting the equipment required for reflection seismic profiling and gravity coring on the Fuji lakes. Evelien and Laura have sent through the first photos from the field:
